VoIP services banned in Myanmar (Burma)
VoIP services are getting more famouse in most of the countries in the world but there are cerntian countries which do not allow VoIP due to not loosing renenue for the local telecom industries. VoIP based free applications are actually give freedom to user so they make free calls around the globe.
The most known applications are Gtalk, Skype, Vzo and pfingo. All these applications are now illegle in Myanmar (Burma). According to Tint Lwin, Head of Myanmar's post and telecommunication that VoIP services are banned in Myanmar and no one is allowed to provide such VoIP services where people can make overseas calls.
He also mentioned that Maynmar Info-Tech Ltd will issues licenses to the registered net cafes and other such firms and they will be bound to not allow such applications.
However, many expert do not appreciate this act from those countries who do not allow VoIP services for their users.
If we look at the India an Pakistan growth in Telecommuncation network, this is just possible becasue they give out freedom for VoIP and so there are lot of VoIP based callcenters. Anyway, let us see when the VoIP ban lifted out in Burma.
